Translation tool

The DeepL translation tool can help members of participation bodies prepare for meetings. The tool can be used to automatically translate meeting documents from Dutch into English. It can also be used to properly consult and inform non-Dutch-speaking staff and students represented by board and council members.

Following the successful pilot carried out during the 2023-2024 academic year, a decision was made to continue offering DeepL to participation bodies. One account is available per faculty. Twenty documents can be translated per account per month. Questions about this tool can be sent to languagepolicy@bb.leidenuniv.nl.
