The Department of Education is responsible for the quality and organization of education.
What does the Department of Education do?
The Department is responsible for:
- the development of education policy and educational innovations
- education administration and timetabling
- study advice and career guidance for students
- ICT support for education
- monitoring the quality of education
Head of teaching and student affairs Niels van de Ven is in daily charge of the Department of Education in close cooperation with the Education Portfolio Holder in the Faculty Board, Professor Jan Crijns, Vice Dean of the Leiden Law School.
Position within the Faculty of Law
Organizationally, the Department of Education is part of the Faculty Bureau. The Staff Department consists of the departments:
