Staff and student participation
Participation organs serve as bodies for consultation, information, communication and advice. They promote the welfare and interests of students and staff.
A number of bodies at the University have the right to consent and advise, the Faculty Councils on faculty matters and the University Council on University matters, for instance. Other bodies with these powers are the Local Consultative Body, the Employee Councils and the Programme Committees.
The members of the various participation bodies are democratically elected. This happens during the university elections.
Questions about the University elections
University Council and employee council elections are organised by the Central Polling Station. And faculty council elections are organised by the faculty polling stations. The Central Polling Station belongs to Legal Affairs. If you have any questions about organising elections or the election regulations, please contact Legal Affairs.
